The texts on this website have been written and sorted on a voluntary basis by a working group. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the group.
The KOK book “Frauenhandeln in Deutschland”, published in 2001 was used as the basis for our texts.
The first launching of this website has been promoted by the Sector Project against Trafficking in Women in the year 2005. The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ – Since 2011 the organisation is called GIZ) implemented the Sector Project against Trafficking in Women on the basis of a commission from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The project is funded under the Program of Action 2015, the German Government's contribution to reducing poverty worldwide.
