Assistance in Returning Home
If you wish to leave or if you must leave Germany, the staff of the counselling centre will help you and offer you detailed advice on how to return to your home country. If so wished, you will be helped to contact your family or support groups in your home country. These groups offer assistance in beginning a new life.
Above and beyond this, the group SOLWODI has a repatriation project. Within the context of this project you can be helped to take up a serious profession or to go into business in your home country.
If you decide to return home of your own free will the International Organisation for Migrants (IOM) will pay for the flight and also give you a small sum of money for your new start in life. We must however warn you, if after receiving such support you then return to Germany, you will be held liable for repayment of these funds.
